The Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru (FUAZ), Kebbi State, has appointed Prof. Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad as its new Vice Chancellor for a five-year tenure.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru (FUAZ), Kebbi State, has appointed Prof. Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad as its new Vice Chancellor for a five-year tenure.

The announcement was made by the Council Secretary and Registrar, Abdulaziz Yusuf Bazata, during a press briefing at the university. He stated that the Governing Board conducted a rigorous selection process, after which Prof. Muhammad emerged as the preferred candidate for the esteemed position.

Prof. Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad, a seasoned academic with over 30 years of experience, specializes in Animal Science and has been an integral part of the university system for decades. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at FUAZ, contributing significantly to research and academic development in the institution.

In a related development, the university also announced the appointment of Mr. Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed as the new University Bursar. Mr. Abdulrasheed Atanda, who previously served as the Deputy Bursar at the University of Ilorin, brings over 30 years of experience in financial management and institutional accounting to his new role.
