Federal University of Education, Zaria Announces Tuition Fee Refund Process for Nelfund Beneficiaries

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has partnered with OpenAI to launch the first OpenAI Academy in Africa. The academy, which kicked off on October 15, 2025, will run for two days and feature workshops, exhibitions, and training sessions on AI applications in various fields.

The event also marked the launch of ChatGPT Go, a feature that allows Africans to access ChatGPT's popular features at an affordable price, with geographically based subscription plans. This initiative aims to bridge the AI divide and enable more Africans to leverage AI for innovation and problem-solving.

The academy aims to equip students, researchers, and innovators with cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) skills tailored to African realities.
