During a courtesy visit to the University Senate Chamber, the FRSC delegation, led by Acting Unit Commander Chief Route Commander (CRC) Esther Adewoye, engaged with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, and the institution’s management team to discuss collaborative efforts.
CRC Adewoye underscored the vital role of academic institutions in promoting road safety, stating, “Partnerships with universities like Augustine University are key to our mission of reducing road traffic accidents through education, enforcement, and community engagement.”
Professor Odetunde expressed gratitude for the initiative, affirming the university’s commitment to societal development. He highlighted the alignment of the proposed collaboration with the institution’s mission, emphasizing the importance of road safety education for the university community and beyond.
The visit culminated in discussions about launching joint initiatives such as road safety campaigns, educational programs, and training sessions designed to equip students and staff with critical road safety knowledge and practices.
