FUL Director of Health Services, Dr. Chinenye Otorkpa, Emerges President-Elect of MWAN Kogi Chapter

The Director of the University Health Services (UHS), Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Dr. Chinenye Otorkpa, has been inaugurated as the President-elect of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Kogi State Chapter, ahead of the association’s next biennium.

The Director of the University Health Services (UHS), Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Dr. Chinenye Otorkpa, has been inaugurated as the President-elect of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Kogi State Chapter, ahead of the association’s next biennium.

The inauguration and investiture ceremony of the newly elected executive members was held recently and attracted a broad spectrum of women groups and key stakeholders in the Kogi State health sector. The event underscored MWAN’s growing influence in advancing women’s health advocacy and professional collaboration within the state.

The ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Egwaba, who commended the association for its sustained commitment to healthcare development and women empowerment.

Dr. Otorkpa is expected to work closely with the substantive President, Dr. (Mrs.) Onifade, who emerged from the immediate past executive council, as the association consolidates its programmes and strategic direction for the coming years.
