FULafia Appoints New Vice-Chancellor

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has approved the appointment of Professor Mohammed Isa Kida as the new Vice-Chancellor. Kida, an accountant and Dean of the Faculty of Management Science, will serve a single tenure of five years, effective February 11, 2026.

The appointment letter, signed by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Mrs. Lola Fibisola Akande, expressed hope that Kida would leverage his experience to drive the university's growth and development. He succeeds Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, whose tenure ends in February 2026.
