FULafia VC Prof. Abdul Rahman Commends TETFund for Sponsoring the University Staffs

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has commended the TETFund for sponsoring the training of academic and non-academic staff of the University of University.

Abdul Rahman spoke, recently, as he, particularly, commended the TETFund for sponsoring 12 academic staff of the University to attend the ongoing conference for researchers and scholars in Africa.

The conference with the theme: “Entrepreneurial Education Management and Leadership Transformation in Africa,” is taking place in Ghana.

It is expected that the representatives from FULafia, who came from different faculties, would present papers at the conference.

It would also be recalled that the TETFund, recently, sponsored many non-academic staff for training at the ASCON in Topo-Badagry, Lagos.

Abdul Rahman said that the importance of building the capacities of staff of the University cannot be overemphasised, pointing out that “training of workers is one of the cardinal functions of my administration.”

The vice-chancellor called on the TETFund to continue to prioritise the training of workers in the institutions of education with a view to finding solutions to the numerous problems plaguing the nation.

He called on the University staff  undergoing training in Ghana to make good use of the training they would received upon their return to the University.
