FULOKOJA: Prof Olayemi Akinwumi Receives 120 Desktop Computers from Canadian Friends

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, alongside other management staff, received a generous donation of 120 desktop computers, flat-screen monitors, books, and other computer accessories from Changing Rural World e.V. Inc., Manitoba, Canada. The donations were presented on Wednesday, 4th September 2024.

A certificate of donation, signed by Project Coordinator Dr. Uche M. Nwankwo, highlighted that these contributions were voluntary and aimed at enhancing academic service delivery, student experiences, and human capital development at FUL. The items were described as humanitarian gifts meant to improve the university's resources.

This latest donation follows a previous shipment in February 2024, which included a 40ft container of medical supplies and over 400 university books to support the accreditation of FUL’s medical school.

During the handover, Professor Akinwumi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, recognizing their consistent support for the university's growth. These donations reflect ongoing collaborative efforts to strengthen FUL’s educational and healthcare programs.
