FULOKOJA Vice-Chancellor Visits University Central Mosque, Solicits Prayers and Sincere Counsel
The newly inaugurated Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, on Friday joined the university’s Muslim community for Jumu‘ah prayers, marking a significant early engagement focused on spiritual inclusion and administrative transparency.
The service, held at the FUL Central Mosque, was attended by a large congregation of staff and students. The Chief Imam, Alhaji Danjuma Khalid, led special supplications for the Vice-Chancellor, seeking divine wisdom, resilience, and guidance for his leadership tenure.
A Call for Accountability and Truth
Addressing the congregation following the prayers, Professor Ibileye expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve, characterizing his appointment as a "call to higher responsibility."
In a notable appeal for administrative integrity, the Vice-Chancellor urged the university community to provide him with unvarnished feedback.
"I need your prayers and your sincerity," Professor Ibileye stated. "Please, always tell me the truth. Together, with unity and transparency, we can build a stronger and greater university."
