The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) recognized the exceptional contributions of past members of its Senate Committee on Examination Results (SECOCER) during a ceremony held on September 17, 2024. The event celebrated the dedicated service of these individuals to the Committee and the University.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Kehinde praised SECOCER for its outstanding work since its inception, emphasizing the Committee's role in providing standardized and accurate examination results. He congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to continue their excellent work in their respective roles. Prof. Kehinde also urged current Committee members to uphold the high standards set by their predecessors.

SECOCER Chairman Prof. Olusegun Idowu opened the ceremony with a welcome address, expressing gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for his support and extending congratulations to the awardees. Prof. Babatunde Idowu, speaking on behalf of the honorees, thanked both the Vice-Chancellor and SECOCER for the recognition. He highlighted how SECOCER's meticulous results management contributed to his successful tenure as Vice-Chancellor at Glorious Vision University, Ogwa, Edo State.

Other distinguished awardees, including former SECOCER Chairman and ex-Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Christian Ikeobi, former Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, and former Dean of the College of Animal Science and Livestock Production Prof. Olusiji Sowande, also commended SECOCER's impact on the University. They urged current members to continue embodying the Committee’s esteemed traditions.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a Service Award Plaque to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Kehinde by the Committee, led by Prof. Olusegun Idowu. The awardees included notable figures such as Prof. Babatunde Idowu, Prof. Olusiji Sowande, Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, Prof. Abiodun Obayelu, and several others who have made significant contributions to SECOCER and FUNAAB.
