FUOYE Ranks Among Top 26 Nigerian Universities in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has achieved a notable accolade by securing a place among the top 26 universities in Nigeria according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024.

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has achieved a significant milestone by being ranked among the top 26 outstanding universities in Nigeria in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024.

Announcing this achievement, Associate Professor Olusola Ayanda, Special Assistant on Digital Advancement and Transformation to the Vice-Chancellor, highlighted that THE Impact Rankings assess universities based on their contributions to various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations. Eligibility for these rankings requires universities to have published a minimum of 150 articles in Scopus over five consecutive years.
Dr. Ayanda disclosed that FUOYE exceeded these criteria with impressive research output. According to Scopus data, the university published 205 articles in 2020, 341 articles in 2021, 342 articles in 2022, 359 articles in 2023, and has already contributed 181 articles in 2024, underscoring its commitment to scholarly excellence and sustainable development.
Acknowledging the achievement, the Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, commended the academic staff for their dedication and emphasized the importance of aligning research efforts with the 17 SDGs. He encouraged further collaboration and innovation among faculty members to continue making significant impacts through research and publications.
