FUTA Alumna Mercy Akerele Appointed as Assistant Professor at Washington University School of Medicine

Dr. Akerele holds an MSc in physics and technology of nuclear reactors from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in biomedical imaging science from the University of Leeds, both in the United Kingdom. She earned her BTech in physics electronics from FUTA in Nigeria.

FUTA Alumna Mercy Akerele Appointed as Assistant Professor at Washington University School of Medicine

The Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has announced the appointment of Mercy Akerele, an alumna of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), as an assistant professor. Akerele is one of four new faculty members joining the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR).

Dr. Akerele will be providing her expertise as a physicist in the division of nuclear medicine. She recently completed her residency in diagnostic medical physics at the University of Florida's Department of Radiology.
