FUTMINNA and JOSTUM Host Graduation Ceremony for IPESS Track B Advanced Certificate Course

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), in collaboration with Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM), has successfully concluded the 2025 IPESS Track B Advanced Certificate Course in Procurement and Social Standards. The graduation ceremony took place on November 14, 2025, at the SICT Hall, Main Campus, FUTMINNA.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad, presided over the event. In his address, Prof. Muhammad emphasized the importance of the training, particularly in a time of scarce national resources, and praised IPESS for delivering world-class training locally.

The Deputy Centre Leader (Social Standards), Prof. Adolphus Naswem, challenged graduates to spearhead a cultural shift in Nigeria's public service, promoting transparency, empathy, and integrity. Dr. Victor A. Otene, representing Prof. S.A. Shomkegh of the IPESS M&A Office, outlined a strategic vision for improving accountability in public sector projects, highlighting the vital role of Standards Monitoring and Evaluation Officers.

Graduates Abdullahi Usman and Deborah Bako expressed gratitude to the programme facilitators and management, affirming that the course had imparted technical knowledge and a renewed sense of responsibility anchored in integrity and accountability. They pledged to uphold the values gained during the programme and contribute to building a public service system that serves all citizens, particularly the most vulnerable.
