Godfrey Okoye University Enugu has garnered significant recognition for its leadership and commitment to excellence, as evidenced by multiple prestigious awards conferred during a ceremony held at the university campus.
The highlight of the event was the conferment of the Integrity Icon of Nigeria Award upon the Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke. This accolade celebrates his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to ethical values in academia and beyond.
In addition to honoring Reverend Father Professor Anieke, the university was recognized as the best private university east of the Niger and ranked as the 3rd best in Nigeria. These accolades underscore the institution's continuous pursuit of academic excellence and its profound impact on the community.
The awards ceremony, presided over by the Centre for Ethics and National Value Orientation, based in Lokoja, Kogi State, emphasized the university's exemplary role in fostering ethics and national values among its students and faculty. Executive Director Salli Yakubu led the delegation in commending Godfrey Okoye University for its contributions.
In his acceptance speech, Reverend Father Professor Anieke reaffirmed the university's core mission to conduct pioneering research, deliver high-quality education, and actively engage in community service.
