Godfrey Okoye University Partners with Sena Institute of Technology, Others for Advanced DNA Sequencing Training in Ghana

Sena Institute of Technology, supported by Godfrey Okoye University and other sponsors, is preparing to offer a new DNA sequencing training session in Ghana. The initiative aims to advance biotechnology education with hands-on sessions and expert collaboration.

Sena Institute of Technology: Enhancing Bio-Technology Education

Sena Institute of Technology is at the forefront of cultivating the next generation of biotechnology scientists in Ghana. Recently, undergraduate students from the University for Development Studies visited the institute to engage in hands-on training with microscopy and imaging techniques. The students prepared their own slides and examined variations in stem architecture during development using Olympus EMEA and Nikon microscopes.

Looking ahead, Sena Institute is gearing up for an exciting new training session on DNA sequencing. This upcoming session is supported by esteemed partners and sponsors, including Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory DNA Learning Center, DNA Learning Center Africa, Godfrey Okoye University, Oxford Nanopore Technologies, and New England Biolabs. The next workshop is scheduled for August 21-23, 2024.
