Governor Mbah Inaugurates Six-Man ESUT Governing Council
Governor Mbah conducted the inauguration ceremony at the Executive Council Hall, Government House, Enugu, emphasizing its alignment with section 6 (1) of ESUT Establishment Law.

Governor Peter Mbah officially inaugurated a six-man governing council for the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) on Wednesday. Chinyeaka Ohaa assumes the role of chairman within the council.
The additional council members include Ikenna Chukwu, James Ifeanyi, Gladys Okoro, Chinedu Onu, and Dr. Eric Oluedo.

Governor Mbah conducted the inauguration ceremony at the Executive Council Hall, Government House, Enugu, emphasizing its alignment with section 6 (1) of ESUT Establishment Law.In his address, Governor Mbah underscored the pivotal role of education in poverty alleviation and development. He expressed confidence in the council's competencies and its potential to enhance both the institution and the state government.
Governor Mbah urged the council to prioritize operational effectiveness and foster collaboration with ESUT's management team to achieve the institution's objectives. He emphasized the significance of effective financial management and investment control within the university.
Acknowledging the auspicious timing of their appointments, Governor Mbah highlighted the government's commitment to education, allocating 33 percent of the annual budget to this sector.
In response, Mr. Chinyeaka Ohaa, speaking on behalf of the council, expressed gratitude for the appointment and pledged to work diligently to meet the governor's targets. He emphasized the need for adequate funding to address ESUT's longstanding challenges.
The inauguration signals a renewed commitment to advancing education and institutional governance within Enugu State.
