Governor Sanwo-Olu Constitutes 13th Governing Council of Lagos State University

In a move reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance and enhancing the quality of education in State-owned tertiary institutions, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the constitution of the 13th Governing Council of Lagos State University (LASU).

In a move reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance and enhancing the quality of education in State-owned tertiary institutions, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the constitution of the 13th Governing Council of Lagos State University (LASU).

According to a statement issued by Mrs. Oluwayemisi A. Thomas-Onashile, Deputy Registrar and Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPPR), Lagos State University, the composition of the newly constituted Governing Council is as follows:

  • Mr. Babatunde Ogala, SAN – Chairman
  • Mr. Oluseyi Badmus – Member
  • Mr. Bode Makanjuola – Member
  • Mrs. Mojisola Tolagbe Taiwo – Member
  • Professor Shaffudeen Amuwo – Member
  • Alhaji Rafiu Adisa Ebiti, FCA – Member
  • Ms. Kofo Durosimi Etti – Member
  • Dr. Farouk Gumel – Member
  • Mrs. Adenike Akanbi, FCA – Member
  • Mr. Biodun Hundeyin – Member
  • Dr. Remi Desalu – Member

The appointment of the Governing Council takes effect from Friday, 31st October 2025.
