Governor Zulum Grants Automatic Employment and Scholarships to 81 Elite KIU Graduates

During the historic maiden combined convocation of Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU) on Saturday, January 3, 2026, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum announced the immediate employment of 81 top-performing graduates. 

 A total of 2,294 students graduated across three academic sessions, with 26 students earning first-class honors. 

Governor Zulum described the initiative as a "strategic investment in the state's future," emphasizing that rewarding excellence is central to Borno's long-term human capital development.

The event was attended by high-profile dignitaries, including Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, and prominent philanthropist Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi. The Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi, also led a delegation of traditional rulers to the ceremony.
