How a Fake Lecturer Seizes Students' Phones and Attempts to Sell Them

A suspected fraudster was apprehended on July 21, 2024, at the Federal College of Education (FCE T Bichi) for posing as a lecturer and deceiving students in the School of Business Education.

According to eyewitnesses, the individual entered an NCE 1 class, claiming to be a co-lecturer, and administered a surprise test. He confiscated students' phones, allegedly to prevent cheating, and then requested the class representative to supervise the students while he retrieved his laptop from his office. However, he failed to return and was later arrested in Kano attempting to sell the seized phones.

The college's security unit promptly intervened, processing and transferring the case to the Bichi Police Station for further investigation. The suspect is currently in police custody.
