Igbinedion University Okada Founder Chief Gabriel Igbinedion Celebrates 90th Birthday

Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom and founder of Igbinedion University Okada, marked his 90th birthday on September 14, 2024. Known for his significant contributions to Nigerian education, Chief Igbinedion established Igbinedion University Okada as Nigeria’s first private university, a landmark in the country's higher education sector.

In addition to his role in education, Chief Igbinedion is the CEO of Okada Air, Nigeria's first airline, and Canada Dry, Africa’s first brewery. His accomplishments extend beyond these ventures, making him a prominent figure in both industry and academia.
