Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Releases Full Guidelines for 2025-2026 Admission Screening Exercise

The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has officially announced the modalities for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. C.A. Ajie, the institution will adopt a hybrid screening approach that eliminates the need for additional written examinations while emphasizing biometric and document verification.

All candidates who selected IAUE as their first choice in the 2025 UTME or applied through Direct Entry are invited to the University’s Main Campus in Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, for physical verification of credentials, biometric screening, and data validation.

No Post-UTME Test Required

The University confirmed that candidates will not be subjected to any further aptitude test. Instead, UTME candidates will be ranked solely based on their JAMB scores (100%), while Direct Entry candidates will be assessed using their uploaded A’level qualifications. DE applicants must also ensure that their certificates are verified via the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS).

Screening Criteria and Ranking

The University’s Admission Unit will screen each candidate based on data already provided through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and cross-referenced with records on the IAUE portal. Ranking will strictly adhere to:

  • UTME subject combination requirements as outlined in the JAMB Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS)
  • O’level subject combinations
  • Departmental cut-off marks

Candidates with high UTME scores but low departmental rankings may be recommended for a change of course to improve their chances of admission.

Personalized Screening Invitation

Candidates will receive their screening schedule via email, containing details such as date, venue, and other specific requirements. They are advised to monitor their registered email addresses regularly for this information.

  1. Original JAMB Result Slip
  2. O’level Result (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

  6. Proper dressing and grooming is mandatory. Candidates must appear neat and presentable.
