The management of Isa Mustapha Agwai 1 Polytechnic, Lafia (IMAP) has announced a ban on the traditional final year sign-out celebrations. This decision comes in response to growing concerns over safety and misconduct associated with the event.

In recent years, the sign-out ritual, which involves final-year students marking the end of their academic journey by wearing signed t-shirts and engaging in celebratory activities, has reportedly led to disturbances and cases of unruly behavior on campus.

The Polytechnic’s administration, in a statement, emphasized the need for maintaining discipline and a conducive academic environment. The management called on students to celebrate responsibly and avoid activities that could tarnish the institution’s reputation.
