“Islam is a Complete Way of Life”: Dr. Usman Muhammad Charges UDUS Students on Ethical Conduct

Following a lecture delivered on Friday, 16th of January, 2026, with 400-Level students of Education in Islam (Edu405), Dr. Usman Muhammad enlightened his students more about Islam, especially emphasizing on the need to follow and observe its teachings as a true believer.

Speaking further during the lecture, he also highlighted the significant role of Islam in every human daily affairs, citing examples that portray Islamic teachings which embodies every human engagements of life, “Islam left nothing untouched,” the lecturer noted, “including teaching us how to eat, drink, and sleep,” he continued 

As the discussion deepened, Dr. Usman explained that embracing Islam as a religion feature a complete way of life while citing Quranic verses and Ahadiths of the prophet (S.A.W) that spoke on Islamic moral guidance, aimed to guide and shape the attitude and behaviours of the every human.

“It's an interesting and enlightening session as the lecture focuses more on how Islamic education shapes human behavior in all ramifications, including touching how to eat, sleep, and even how you speak,” Comrade Bashir told Digest Press. 

Speaking, Ibrahim Umar also expressed gratitude, stating that he felt excited about Islamic concern to its believers, guiding and directing people to the righteous and complete way of life.

Similarly, Lalle Khadijah said the lecture felt great and interesting, because it only focuses on teaching them the basic tenets of Islam.

“The lecture focuses on the spiritual,and ethical values of Islam emphasizing that when a man wears jalabia doesn't mean he is more pious than others, dressing is just a culture, we're all the same in the sight of Allah, except those who are better than us in faith.”
