Kaduna State University Holds Seminar on Male Infertility
The College of Allied Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kaduna State University (KASU) recently organized a seminar titled "Uncovering the Link: Oxidative Stress and Male Infertility."
The event featured a presentation by Dr. Armiya'u A. Yelwa, who discussed the role of oxidative stress in male infertility.
According to Dr. Yelwa, oxidative stress can cause sperm DNA damage, reduced motility, and compromised fertilization ability. Lifestyle factors and medical conditions were identified as key contributors to oxidative stress.
The seminar highlighted the importance of advanced testing and potential treatment approaches, including lifestyle modifications and assisted reproductive technologies. The event saw active participation from attendees and sparked discussions on the need for awareness about male infertility.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) praised the seminar as a valuable engagement and encouraged exploration of potential opportunities arising from the topic.
