Since assuming office on December 4, 2023, Dr. Farouk, an alumnus of the institution, has led the Polytechnic through a series of significant reforms aimed at enhancing both academic and administrative operations.
Dr. Farouk's leadership has been defined by the establishment of committees to address institutional challenges and the introduction of new academic programs such as Basic, Remedial, and Postgraduate courses. His commitment to modernization is also evident in the awarding of contracts for workshops, laboratories, and library equipment, providing the Polytechnic with state-of-the-art facilities.
Under his guidance, Kano State Polytechnic has made notable strides toward becoming a globally competitive institution, offering a conducive environment for both learning and administrative efficiency.
