Kashim Ibrahim College of Education Provost Alleges Vandalism, Illegal Asset Evacuation, and Retirement Dispute

The Provost of Kashim Ibrahim College of Education (KICOE), Abba Mala, has issued a statement decrying the alleged vandalism of college assets and illegal evacuation of properties by the Borno State Government.

The Provost also disputes the decision to retire him, citing a legal extension of his tenure as an academic staff member.

According to the Provost, the college assets were vandalized and illegally evacuated by the Commissioner of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Wakilbe, and his cohorts. The Provost's official vehicle was also stolen from his residence in Ngomari Airport.

The Provost has petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) since December 6, 2023, and is calling for the case to be forwarded to court. He emphasized that the rule of law should prevail in this democratic government.

The Provost remains adamant that he will not hand over until the issues are resolved and the perpetrators are brought to justice. He appealed to patriotic and concerned citizens to support his quest for justice.
