Kewulere Abdulafeez Babatunde, a student from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been elected as the new President of the Kwara State University (KWASU) Students Union. The election, held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, saw Babatunde secure 3,848 votes out of a total 4,632 cast, as reported by the Students Electoral Committee.

The official election report, signed by the Chairman, Toheeb Olamide Kolawole, and Secretary, Adegbola Abel Ayomide, confirmed Babatunde's victory and outlined the other elected positions within the union.

Key elected officials include:

- Vice President: Ireoluwa Oluwaseun Ogungboye

- General Secretary: Hameedat Oluwatimileyin Akanni

- Treasurer: Abdulquadri Abdulganiyu Babatunde
