The lecture, themed “The Essential Role of Safe Toilets and Sanitation Systems in Building a Fairer, Healthier and More Peaceful World,” was delivered by sanitarian Tijjani Uba Isa. The session highlighted the global importance of proper sanitation, access to safe toilets, and the role of communities in promoting hygiene for a healthier society.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, in his opening remarks, emphasized the university’s commitment to joining the international community in observing World Toilet Day. He urged staff, students, and the wider university community to uphold high standards of cleanliness, particularly in hostels and communal facilities.

Prof. Garba also reiterated KHAIRUN’s vision of producing graduates who excel academically, morally, and professionally. He highlighted the institution’s goals of nurturing students with strong entrepreneurial capacity, excellent character, proficiency in French and Arabic, and commitment to cleanliness.
The lecture reinforced KHAIRUN’s dedication to creating a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment, while promoting global standards for responsible and hygienic communities.
