The Governing Council of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has lauded the recent passage of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital Bill 2024 by the State House of Assembly and its subsequent signing into law by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

In a statement issued by the university’s Pro-chancellor and chairman of Council, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, the Council expressed its excitement and support for the timely establishment of the State Teaching Hospital. The Council believes that this development will enable KWASU to produce exceptional medical personnel and further enhance the institution’s contribution to human capital development, ultimately placing Kwara State in the limelight.

The establishment of the Teaching Hospital is expected to significantly bolster the medical education and healthcare delivery systems in Kwara State.
