KWASU Hosts International Conference on Revolutionizing Education Through AI

Researchers from various institutions converged at the Kwara State University's Faculty of Education 2nd International Conference to exchange findings and perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence in functional education. 

Delivering the keynote address during the formal opening ceremony of the Conference on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Commissioner, Kwara State Ministry of Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibo Kawu noted that the theme of the conference “Revolutionising Functional Education Through the Strategic Leverage of Artificial Intelligence", aligns with the state government’s commitment to preparing secondary school students with the skills needed to effectively use AI.

The Vice-Chancellor of KWASU, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, who was represented by the Dean, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Professor Isiaka Aliagan highlighted the increasing relevance of AI in modern society, stressing that while it can not replace human creativity, it can significantly enhance it.

The Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Ibrahim Laro Abubakar, also emphasized the role of AI in human capital development but called for strict regulations to guard against its misuse in the education sector.

Two eminent scholars, Professor Dileep Kumar M. and Professor Kehinde Kester presented lead papers, enriching the conference with global insights on AI-driven innovation in education.
