LASU Management Sponsors Athletes

Lagos State University (LASU) athletes on their way to China to take part in the world university games.

Towards the fulfilment of the fifth (5th) strategic goal of the current university administration under the able leadership of Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola OLATUNJI-BELLO, mni, NPOM, which is, to promote participation in sports and recreational activities, the Lagos State University Management has sponsored Four (4) students to take part in the forthcoming World University Games (FISU) in Chengdu, China.

The games will hold between Tuesday, 25th July and Thursday, 10th August 2023.

The students are :

1. Aminat Oluwafunke ILORI (Badminton)

2. Oluwasegun Obasanjo IDOWU (Badminton)

3. Simeon Abiodun AKINSOLA (Badminton)

4. Oluwatosin IHAZA (Judo)

The team is being led to Abuja, Nigeria, by the Deputy Director, Sports, Mr. Owoyemi IDOWU. 

The university community wishes the team a successful outing at the competition.
