As Aderonke Abeke prepares for her convocation, she reflects on a journey marked by determination and resilience. The alumna of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Oyo State, Nigeria, is set to graduate with an International Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Embarking on studies abroad was a formidable challenge for Abeke. The initial thrill of arriving alone in a new country quickly turned into the reality of adapting to a foreign land with its diverse cultures. Balancing school amidst unpredictable weather, working 20 hours a week while managing a tuition fee exceeding £10,000 and other living expenses, proved to be an immense challenge. On top of this, she had to fulfill responsibilities back home as the eldest child.
