Lecturers at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have suspended their three-week industrial action following the management's readiness to address their demands. The lecturers, under the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), also demanded the immediate release of APER forms, promotion letters, and completion of the conversion and regularization list. According to ASUP Chairman Adegunle Tomisi, the resumption of academic activities is effective immediately, but he urged the management to settle arrears of earned allowances and conclude the 2019/2020 appointment exercise.
The strike had disrupted academic activities, causing concern among students and parents. However, with the suspension of the strike, lectures are expected to resume, and normalcy is expected to return to the polytechnic.

The management's decision to address the lecturers' demands is seen as a positive step towards resolving the impasse, and students and staff are hopeful that the polytechnic will return to its normal state of academic excellence.
For now, academic activities are expected to resume, and the polytechnic community is relieved that the strike has been suspended.
