MAPOLY Rector Ensures Academic Stability Amid Governor Abiodun's Education Policies
In a recent meeting with the President of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Pedro Chibuzor Obi, the Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun's educational policies as paramount in addressing the contemporary challenges facing Nigeria's education system. Dr. Odedeji commended Governor Abiodun's intervention, which, he stated, had revitalized MAPOLY after a two-year stagnation due to the policies of the previous administration, thereby facilitating increased access to quality tertiary education for secondary school leavers.

This support included the rehabilitation of the Oloke-MAPOLY Road, donation of an 11 KVA Transformer, and the initiation of a water project. Dr. Odedeji emphasized that this consistent financial support had fostered industrial harmony among the management, staff, and students, ensuring seamless academic operations.
Furthermore, Dr. Odedeji assured students of an uninterrupted academic session for the 2023/2024 academic year, affirming that the management had implemented robust structures to guarantee the smooth running of the institution's academic calendar. He attributed the resurgence of a culture of academic excellence to Governor Abiodun's steadfast support, citing notable alumni such as former Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the current Accountant-General of the Federation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Shakirat Madein.

Additionally, the Rector underscored the institution's focus on skill development programs, offering additional certifications to students upon completion of their academic programs.
The newly constructed Skill Development Centre, equipped with a N30 million grant from TETFund, stands as a testament to MAPOLY's commitment to vocational training. Dr. Odedeji disclosed partnerships with industry giants such as CISCO and Huawei Technology to offer Information Communication Technology (ICT) programs, ensuring staff and students receive essential digital training.
