The Minister of State for Police Affairs, Honorable Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, has vowed to garner support from prominent organizations to help Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), become a competitive institution on both national and global levels. This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, to the Minister's office in Abuja.
Hon. Imaan, a key stakeholder in the university, expressed her dedication to facilitating collaborations, internships, and scholarships for NSUK students by engaging with reputable institutions. Congratulating Professor Sa’adatu on her historic appointment as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the university, the Minister praised her experience and leadership, describing her as well-prepared for the role.
In her remarks, Professor Sa’adatu extended her gratitude to the Minister for the warm reception and highlighted the university’s strong relationship with the police hierarchy in Keffi. She also requested additional security support, including increased patrols around student-populated areas and the provision of an operational patrol vehicle to enhance safety within and around the university.
The meeting concluded with the exchange of souvenirs between the two leaders. The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, Registrar Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II, University Librarian Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir, and Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Mallam Auwalu Suleiman.
