MTF West Africa Set to Celebrate 2023 Graduates

MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) West Africa prepares to celebrate another impactful year with the upcoming graduation ceremony on December 14 in Lagos. The academy annually trains and graduates African storytellers through a fully funded 12-month program, elevating their skills to meet world-class standards.

MTF Academy Director for West Africa, Atinuke Babatunde said “West Africa has a rich history of incredible storytelling, and this is beautifully translated into its film and TV industry. MTF’s main aim is to take this a step further by providing seasoned and emerging creatives in this industry with a world-class opportunity to hone their skills with some of the best teachers and organizations in this sector so that they can elevate their already incredible storytelling skills to meet world-class standards.”

Babatunde further highlights the success of talents like Elvis Damptey, whose short film “Take Back The Night” attracted Africa Magic’s interest.

2023 was remarkable for the academy as its commitment extended to enlightening masterclasses, industry collaborations in Ghana, and contributions to film festivals with acclaimed films by its students like “The Delectable Azeezah Sama,” “Dark Echoes,” and “Love from Bayelsa.”

Since 2018, MTF has been a driving force in imparting technical skills for high-quality film production to young African talents. Some of these young talents have gone on to produce movies and series, some of which aired on Africa Magic channels.
