N30m Mathematics and ICT Centre Gifted to Isanlu Victory College in Tribute to Late Educationist
Professor Salisu Usman, Rector of Kogi Polytechnic, pledged to immortalize Pa Joseph Owoeye for his significant contributions to the institution's growth and development. He highlighted the indelible mark left by the deceased on the institution during its formative years.
In a bid to promote mathematics education at the secondary school level, a group has generously donated a N30 million Mathematics and ICT Centre to Isanlu Victory College in Ilafin Community, Kogi State. The donation is in honor of the late Pa Joseph O. Owoeye, a respected educationist who recently passed away.
During the official handing over ceremony of the Chief Joseph Olarenwaju Owoeye Mathematics and ICT Centre, Mr. Peter Owoeye, the son of the deceased, revealed plans to establish an educational foundation to uphold his father's vision for education. This foundation will collaborate with federal and Kogi State Ministries of Education to organize annual mathematics quiz competitions, aiming to inspire students beyond the secondary school level.

Dr. Giotane Tambawa, one of the initiators of the project, emphasized the importance of immortalizing Pa Joseph Owoeye's legacy and ensuring that his contributions to education are remembered. The traditional ruler of Isanlu, His Royal Highness Oba Babatunde Etanibi, also paid tribute to Pa Owoeye for his selfless service to the community.
