In a significant push towards innovation and sustainable transportation, the Nasarawa State Government has deployed electric vehicles to Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), reinforcing its commitment to technology-driven solutions for institutional operations.

The fleet was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, under the Nasarawa State Empowerment Programme. The initiative aims to improve campus mobility and operational efficiency while promoting clean energy adoption within the University community.

During the presentation, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Linkages), Dr. K’tso Ngargbu, noted that the electric vehicles were supplied at highly subsidized rates. He explained that electric tricycles and ADOJA EV2 electric cars are available in multiple variants, with payment plans spread over four years to ease financial commitments for the University.

Powered through a combination of solar and generator energy systems, the vehicles are capable of covering over 500 kilometres on a single charge, ensuring reliability for daily campus operations while advancing NSUK’s long-term sustainability goals.
