Nasarawa State University Shines at Maiden TETFund National Research Fair

The inaugural edition of the TETFund National Research Fair/Exhibition, themed "Technologies for Massive Generation of Jobs and Wealth Creation Among Nigerians," took place from November 17 to 21, 2024, at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Representing Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman (FELLOW: UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFPN), and the Director of Research Innovation and Enterprise, Professor Yakubu Boyi Ngwai, were in attendance.

  • Professor Moses Zira Zaruwa from the Department of Biochemistry presented ZIRAFAST, an ointment, tea bag, and capsule designed for treating wounds, including "Daji" in Hausa.
  • Dr. Taibat Ibrahim, Deputy Director of Incubation and Innovation at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, unveiled Aquaclara, an eco-friendly modular water filtration unit ensuring safe drinking water by tackling water contamination.

The event provided a platform for NSUK’s innovative contributions to be recognized as pivotal in fostering wealth creation and job opportunities in Nigeria.
