The National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has called on government-owned tertiary institutions to upload their students' data to streamline the student loan application process. Several institutions have already successfully uploaded their data to the loan application portal.

The loans are available to students admitted to public universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and vocational schools in Nigeria. Applicants must provide personal information, including their JAMB registration number, date of birth, National Identification Number (NIN), and Biometric Verification Number (BVN).
