NNPCL Collaborates with BUK to Establish Retail Outlet for University Community

In a bid to enhance accessibility and affordability of petroleum products and services, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPCL) Retail Limited team held a productive meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, at Bayero University Kano (BUK) on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Engr. Baba Shatima Kukawa, leading the NNPCL team, articulated their visit's objective—to establish a collaborative partnership with the university to introduce an outlet within the campus. This initiative aims to provide cost-effective products and services to the University community and its environs while exploring additional avenues through which NNPCL can support the University.

Acknowledging the history of fruitful collaboration, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas affirmed the strong ties between BUK and NNPCL, highlighting the company's significant contributions to the university. Notably, NNPCL had previously constructed and donated a structure housing the Department of Civil Engineering, enhancing the University's infrastructure.

 

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sani Muhammad Gumel, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, reiterated BUK's openness to collaborations that foster holistic university development.
