Northern Coalition Defends FUDMA VC Against Maladministration Allegations

The Northern Coalition of Socio-Political Forum has robustly defended Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutsin-ma (FUDMA), in response to recent allegations of maladministration circulating on social media.

The coalition dismissed the claims as "unnecessary distractions" and called for public disregard of the allegations. These claims, reportedly made by a former staff member, suggested that Professor Bichi was summoned by the House of Representatives Committee on Tertiary Institutions for investigation. However, the university has stated that neither the Vice Chancellor nor the institution has received any official summons.

Praising Professor Bichi’s performance, leadership, and financial discipline, the coalition emphasized his positive relationship with staff and his contributions to the university’s development.

Comrade Musa Mohammed, National President of the Northern Coalition, labeled the social media publication as an attempt to tarnish the Vice Chancellor’s reputation, noting that the former staff member who made the allegations was dismissed following proper procedures.

The university clarified that Professor Bichi respects the National Assembly and would respond to any formal requests. The Northern Coalition urged the public to ignore the misinformation and recognized the Vice Chancellor’s dedication to transparency and accountability.
