NOUN Ilaro Study Centre Receives Donation of Branded Computer Systems
The Ilaro Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has received a generous donation of two branded laptops and a desktop computer from Dr. Deen Ibiyemi, a philanthropist and respected community leader.
The Ilaro Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has received a generous donation of two branded laptops and a desktop computer from Dr. Deen Ibiyemi, a philanthropist and respected community leader.
Dr. Ibiyemi, accompanied by a four-man delegation, made the presentation as part of his commitment to supporting the growth and development of the community through educational advancement.
Speaking during the donation, Dr. Ibiyemi commended the study centre for its achievements and impact on the community. He described the gesture as a modest contribution toward strengthening the centre’s operations and promised to make additional donations in the near future.
He and his team also expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended to them by the centre’s management and staff.
In his response, the Acting Director of the Centre, Mr. Moses Ayokunle Ola, expressed deep gratitude for the thoughtful donation, noting that computers are vital tools in Open and Distance Learning (ODL).
“With this donation, you have increased the number of available systems for both staff and students. We are optimistic that more support will come as we continue to enhance the academic experience at the Ilaro Community Study Centre,” he stated.
