Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has expressed delight over the recent approval granted by the National University Commission (NUC) to the University of Ilesa, enabling it to offer 32 courses for the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session. The approval follows a comprehensive Resource Assessment Visitation conducted by the NUC team.
Governor Adeleke attributed the success to his administration's commitment to implementing due process and best practices in establishing the University of Ilesa. He emphasized that the university's emergence signals a significant milestone in providing quality higher education within Osun State.
"I am pleased to announce that the University of Ilesa has received validation from the NUC, affirming its readiness to commence academic activities," Governor Adeleke stated. "This achievement underscores our dedication to fostering excellence in education and ensuring that our institutions adhere to national standards."
The Governor assured continued support from the Osun State Government, affirming that resources and efforts will be directed towards maintaining high academic standards at the University of Ilesa. He pledged to uphold the institution's commitment to delivering quality education comparable to that of Osun State University.
