NUC Delegation Visits Taraba State University

Prof. Reuben Jonathan, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Administration, hosted a high-profile delegation from the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC). Led by Aliyu Abduljalab, a staff member of the Academic Division at NUC, alongside Chibusi Janet and Fatima Yahaya, the team was warmly welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, who was ably represented by Prof. Reuben Jonathan.

Janet disclosed that as a regulatory agency, the NUC team was on-site to inspect the university's expansion capacity. This included evaluating both human and material resources key criteria for determining the potential increase of the university's admission quota. The delegation conducted a thorough inspection of various facilities including lecture theatres, classrooms, security measures, guidance and counselling services, the library, hostels, and other educational amenities.

Other pivotal management staff played key roles during the visit, including Prof. Mahmud, DVC University Development, Dr. Umar Bibinu, the Registrar, and Idris Mafindi, the Admissions Officer, among others. Prof. Reuben Jonathan extended appreciation to the NUC team for traversing challenging terrains to regulate and assess the university's activities.
