The Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University (NWU) Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, has officially announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the establishment of several new academic programmes at the institution.

The approval, communicated via an official letter dated February 26, 2026, follows a successful resource verification exercise conducted by NUC experts. The new programmes are scheduled to commence in full-time mode at the University's Main Campus effective from the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
