NWUK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Amina Bayero Visits Philanthropist Alhaji Aliyu Bebeji, Secures Commitment on Hostel Project

 The Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano (NWUK), Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, led a high-powered delegation of principal officers on a familiarization visit to renowned philanthropist and Chairman of Aliko Oil and Gas, Alhaji Aliyu Sa’idu Bebeji, on Friday, February 13, 2026.

The visit served as a formal introduction of the new Vice-Chancellor and a strategic follow-up on critical infrastructure pledges made to the university.

Professor Bayero expressed profound gratitude to Alhaji Bebeji for his historic contributions to the institution, notably the construction of the University Staff School, the Central Mosque, and a secondary mosque on the main campus.

A primary focus of the meeting was the Students’ Hostel project, which the Vice-Chancellor identified as a high-priority need for the university. She respectfully reminded the philanthropist of the pledge he made regarding this facility during the University’s Second Combined Convocation in July 2025.

In his response, Alhaji Aliyu Sa’idu Bebeji reaffirmed his dedication to the university's growth. He provided the following assurances to the management team:

Hostel Project: Reconfirmed that the promised students' hostel remains a top priority.

Prompt Delivery: Assured the delegation that these outstanding tasks would be addressed and completed within the next few months.
