In a significant move to enhance camp administration and uphold discipline, six corps members have been appointed as Corps Camp Directors and members of the State Coordinator Special Squad for the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.

Six corps members have been appointed as Corps Camp Directors and members of the State Coordinator Special Squad for the 2024 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.

The newly appointed Corps Camp Directors, who will oversee camp activities from August 31 to September 17, 2024, are:

  • Eze Advantage (NS/24B/2781)
  • Idris Bilal Bala (FC/24B/3981)
  • Eze Onyiyechi Cynthia (FC/24B/7368)

They will be joined by the State Coordinator Special Squad members, tasked with serving as liaisons between camp management and corps members. The Special Squad members include:

  • Ekpenyong Patience Edet (NS/24B/2566)
  • Vitoesi Dorcas Oluwakemi (NS/24B/2378)
  • Badamosi Ahmed Onimisi (FC/24B/6253)

Addressing the corps members, NYSC Nasarawa State Coordinator, Mrs. Salamatu Muhammad, emphasized the importance of cooperation with the newly appointed leadership. "These Corps members have been chosen for their leadership qualities to facilitate better communication between camp management and you. They will be mentored in their roles, and your support is crucial for their success," Mrs. Muhammad said. She encouraged corps members to voice their concerns and suggestions through these appointed leaders to ensure a smoother camp experience.

In addition to the leadership appointments, Mrs. Muhammad also announced the constitution of the camp court, which will address disciplinary issues among corps members. The camp court comprises:

  • Mrs. Margaret Ndem (Camp Director)
  • The NYSC Legal Officer
  • The Camp Commandant
  • The Head of Police
  • Man O War representative
  • Two Corps Lawyers

The camp court is designed to uphold discipline and provide a formal process for handling infractions. Mrs. Muhammad stressed the importance of adhering to camp rules to avoid disciplinary actions. "It is essential to maintain discipline for a conducive camp environment. Please adhere to camp regulations to prevent any need to appear before the court," she advised.

The appointments and court constitution mark a proactive approach to camp management and discipline, aiming to foster a well-organized and respectful environment for all corps members.
