NYSC to Increase Corps Members' Allowance Following New Minimum Wage Implementation

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has announced that corps members' monthly allowances will be increased once the Federal Government begins implementing the new minimum wage for civil servants.

Speaking at the NYSC Orientation Camps in Dakingari, Kebbi State, and Wamakko, Sokoto State, General Ahmed highlighted the crucial role corps members play in Nigeria's socio-economic development. He encouraged them to take advantage of the service year to acquire vocational skills through the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, promoting self-reliance and job creation.
