Scheduled to commence on May 10 and run till July 28th, the exhibition marks a significant milestone in OAU's ongoing efforts to safeguard its iconic campus from the ravages of time and neglect. Rather than merely celebrating past achievements, the exhibition serves as a rallying cry for collective action and support in preserving OAU's architectural legacy for posterity.
At the heart of the exhibition is the Conservation Management Plan initiated during the Bauhaus anniversary in 2019, aimed at securing national monument status for six key buildings within the campus core. Through curated displays, attendees will gain insight into the meticulous planning and collaborative efforts that underpin the conservation project, funded by Getty and the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
In addition to showcasing the physical aspects of OAU's architectural heritage, the exhibition will feature engaging panel discussions and online presentations by esteemed scholars, architects, and conservationists.
