OGITECH Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, Bags NIPR Leadership Award of Excellence

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has honoured Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, Rector of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, with its Leadership Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and institutional development.

The award ceremony was held on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Dr. Oluseye, who boasts over 25 years of experience in polytechnic administration, was lauded for transforming OGITECH into a hub of innovation and excellence within two years of his appointment as Rector. His administration has introduced forward-thinking programmes such as the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), Robotics and Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Education—with the establishment of the Robotics and Innovation Centre serving as a major highlight of his tenure.

Presenting the award, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, Chairman of NIPR, described Dr. Oluseye’s recognition as “well-deserved,” citing his remarkable leadership achievements in human development and quality administration.

Represented at the event by Deputy Rector, Dr. Oluyemi Odutola, Dr. Oluseye expressed gratitude to the NIPR for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in Ogun State while nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Other distinguished awardees included the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunso Amosun, wife of the former Governor of Ogun State, among others. The ceremony also had in attendance OGITECH Principal Officers and Management Committee members, who joined in celebrating the Rector’s exceptional leadership milestone.
